At one point in this cameras servicing with Leica someone exchanged the chrome film release housing for a black chrome one to match the film winder, giving it a special all black look. Dual Range Summicron 50mm f2 with original goggles and lens hood. Hardly any scratches and only slight wear on the rear element coating. It is rare to have such low amounts of wear for such an old Summicron, due to the nature of the softer glass, and the full brass construction. The lens overall is beautiful and I have had no qualms with it- nothing but joy from one of Leicas best lenses. This is also a special feet only model, of which few were produced and are getting harder and harder to find. Super-Angulon 21mm f3,4 with original rear cover and lens hood. This is further proven by the wet screw seals and the overall absurd appearance of the lens. Where the Summicron was already in outstanding condition, this one simply goes up and beyond. Glass and action is astounding. Leica simply did not have the optical formulas at the time to make such a wide angle lens with this beautiful image quality. There are few M bodies this specific lens can mount to. I believe the rendering the lens creates is special and it belongs partnered to this particular M model due to the unique analogue nature of it.
